I did this.. about this time last year I think. It's just pencil on bristol, and I'm not even sure how long it took any more.

I've always liked dinosaurs, and for some reason I wanted to draw some sort of big theropod, and so I dug around through all my various old dino books and decided on a giganotosaur since I remember them from Dinotopia The World Beneath.

I'm not that happy with the hands or feet, but just like on humans, they're hard to draw.

Good job. There is some great detail in the dinosaur. The background could use some work I think. It doesn't flow from foreground to background. There are distinct breaks between the foliage in the front, to the hill behind the dino, to the mountains in the background. But, it's still a good drawing and great work so keep it up.
